-Select one student to represent your Quest group for the following challenge and email Mrs. Wilson:
Can you move around in tight spaces? Are you good at making last minute decisions? Our next Quest challenge involves your ability to act fast and move around quickly. This challenge is part of a quest project and the group running it would like one person from each Quest class to be a representative. You will be put to the test to see which class has the fastest representative who can finish the course. The catch is that each course is different from the other, so that no one can memorize the course.
-Come to class with your topic and be ready to discuss it for at least 30 seconds.
-At the end of class everyone's topics will be documented and shared with the other 9th grade Quest teachers. This will be used for grouping purposes.
-2 second Impressions of movie posters. In just 2 seconds of viewing, what do you notice? What makes that poster "pop"?
-Introduce Elements of Design. What can you do to create a creative poster like the ones we see at movie theaters?

-Rough drafts of posters are due! They should be done on the larger paper handed out and should be colored/well designed. Once your Quest teachers approves of your rough draft begin working on the final draft of your poster.
-Rough drafts of abstracts are due! This needs to be a paragraph that acts of the hook for your project. You want to grab someone's attention with the visual of your poster and then really get them to take notice after reading your abstract. Some key items that should be included are what your passion/topic is on, why you are passionate about it, how you plan to make changes/create your project and how it will benefit the community. Once turned in, your Quest teacher will help by giving suggestions for your abstract.
-The Final Drafts of Both the Poster and the Abstract are due next Quest meeting!!! Don't procrastinate on this one!
