- Read and review 10th Grade Quest Project
- read and review 10th Grade Quest score sheet and rubric
- Look at examples of action plans
*Notice that effective action plans include an objective, mission, keys to success, and a cost analysis
- Create a class list of each student's passion(s)
- Learn how to perfect the elevator pitch
- Watch Simon Sinek's TED Talk "Start With Why"
- Read through the Knights Tournament tab and consider possible challenges (proposed challenges are due to Mr. Smith no later than October 2, 2015!)
- QUEST TASKS: (1) Get syllabus signed (2) Be prepared to share your elevator pitch at September's Quest meeting

Your first Knight's tournament challenge is hereby issued. September is pediatric cancer month. In grand Bridge tradition, I
am challenging each Advisement/ Quest group to raise as much money as possible between now and 3:00 pm October 16th for Alex's Lemonade Stand, a charity striving to raise money to discover a cure for pediatric cancer. The Quest group
to raise the most gets 15 points. Additionally, any Quest group that makes a donation of any denomination gets 5

- Create groups of 4 based similar interests/ passions
- QUEST TASK: (1) Complete Refining Your Topic worksheet

- Select one student to represent your Quest group for the following challenge and email Mrs. Wilson:
Can you move around in tight spaces? Are you good at making last minute decisions? Our next Quest challenge involves your ability to act fast and move around quickly. This challenge is part of a quest project and the group running it would like one person from each Quest class to be a representative. You will be put to the test to see which class has the fastest representative who can finish the course. The catch is that each course is different from the other, so that no one can memorize the course.
